Part 4 — October 19th 2020

Today it’s July 28th 1944 10.30am. The sector it’s changed and now we are in Periere sector so the battle it’s named Periere1.

After another day for resting and only some patrol encounters, US forces trapped German forces of Panzer Lehr division near the small village of Periere. The weather it’s clear. The battle it’s another pursuit scenario.

US forces must stop the run of Germans across the table, the German objective it’s to run away from US forces and bring out of their friendly table side 20% in point worth troops of their total. The objective it’s to carry away almost 786 point in 18 turns.

German forces are from Panzer Lehr division; 2 Panzergrenadieren platoons on 8 medium trucks, 4 Jagdpanther and 4 Pz IV ausf H.

After Battle Report:

German forces try to evade using the fastest method by road movement, but US forces are much more faster and mobile and intercept the enemy convoy destroying all vehicles but a couple escapes. Only 2 German squads by foot and 2 German armored vehicle survive, none of them were tanks… Another German defeat since they put out of table only 418 pints of troops on 786 of their target. Scenario see 115 German casualties on 160 men and 4 Jagdpanther 4 Pz IV ausf H and 8 trucks destroyed. US losses are very fair, 6 casualties and 2 M4 Sherman tanks destroyed by a Panzerschreck 43.
